How many is too many?

Currently I have 2 platties, 2 ADF's, and one male betta.

Do I have too many fish in my 10 gallon tank? Or could I fit in a mystery snail?

I wouldn't keep 2 platies with a betta. I've heard they don't mix well! I'd bring your platies back to the store and get a school of 6 neon tetras. Would be a nice tank.

Actually that would be too many.

I think the original tank is fine if the fish and frogs are all getting along.

I think a snail would be OK but then I am not familiar with the output of a ADF. Snail poop a lot, do frogs?

Oops! I'm not that great at stocking. Frogs do seem to poop a lot IME.

Rather than a snail, I'd get one more platy as they do prefer to be in groups of 3+, like guppies. :)
