Walked away from a beauty today!

So I took my son to the petsmart and petco just to look at the fish, birds, and snakes and fell in love with a white dragon scale male betta! He follwed my eyes when i was looking at him and looked like he was saying "pick me, pick me!" I only have my 1/2 gallon QT tank and no heater for it right now and know that is not a decent home for this little guy so I had to walk away :(

This made me decide to start a "fish fund." I have an empty jar now that I am throwing all my change into until it amounts to enough to get a larger tank to split :)

Well good for you. I'm sorry you had to walk away from that gorgeous little fish. But once you get a tank all set up I'm sure there will be some gorgeous little fish just waiting to brighten up your tank :)

That jar is a great idea! I have a jar that I could use...but I'm going to plant it and put a shrimp/snail in it instead. :p So much for economy!

I ALMOST got a 1 gallon tank just so I cold take him home but realized that I'd still need a heater and I can't afford that right now... SOON! And hey, maybe he'll still be there ;)
