Hello im back again now with new equipment.
just wondering is my current setup ok ? i had once posted on a previous post b4. just wondering will this plants create infusoria for betta fry?
oh yes, i will be adding styrofoam cup and sponge filter later on.
The plants can't create enough infusoria for the fry and would rather pollute the water (if the tank is not cycled). It is best that you grow infusoria in a jar so you would get them populated. After that, you can feed them with an eyedropper (a few drops).
Can leave the plants in the tank.. they help detoxify the water and make it cleaner/safer for the fry.. I wouldn't count solely on infusoria though as it is, make sure to have BBS and if possible, some micro cultures to feed as first foods for back up. They will only eat the infusoria for a very short time, so personally I ended up not bothering with it and just use plants to keep the water clean for them.
i am trying to breed a pure colour hm . i mistook the plakats for half moon, i didnt really notice it and now i m going to purchase a new one..
