King Bettas and filters....

Just curious if anyone out there has any experience with king bettas and whether or not they do well in a tank with a filter like the marineland 150b. I have a cycled 20 gallon long that I was thinking about doing a sorority in, but all the females I have gotten have very big personalities. Therefore, I have decided to forego the sorority and divide it in 2 (larger side is going to the future king and the smaller side will go to possibly an EE). If a king can handle flow, I was planning on running the marineland 150b and heater on the king side and a sponge filter on the smaller side.

I don't have that filter, but I do have a giant and he actually likes to wrap his fins around the intake tube.
