Meet Jackson!

So finally I went to Petco and got my new 10 gallon set up with some platys and my new male dragon Delta Tail betta, Jackson. They all are getting along ok as of right now, they pretty much ignore each other.
My heater is very slowly getting the tank to 80 degrees, so I am kind of worried about my new friends. :P Especially since all Jackson does in sit in the bottom corner of the tank staring at himself and occasionally take a gulp of air from above. I am also trying to find advice on his fin rot currently.
But I have some pictures of my pretty little man and his buddies if anybody wants to see him. It's hard to see how he is a dragon coloring, but he is when you actually see him in person! Tomorrow he gets to try a bloodworm for breakfast.

He's pretty. :) You may want to seperate him from the other fishys though so he can be treated for fin rot.

Sadly we had an incident last night while we were sleeping with the filter. :'( Jackson got sucked up and stuck in the part of our filter that spits the clean water out. I woke up and saw no betta, then checked the filter and there was my boy with no life.
I really feel bad because I didn't know a betta could fit in the filter, but I also take it as a learning experience and for the next betta I get I will be putting netting over the hole. (and the platys are ok because we changed about 75% of the water because it was yellow and they are happy as ever!)
