Is this a ghost shrimp?

Hi. Just wondering cuz I am paranoid... Is this a ghost shrimp? I bought two 2 weeks ago and they a doing great with my HM betta, Dragon. No aggression on the part of the shrimpies. Dragon will chase them for a few seconds once in awhile but they get away quite easily. I guess they going to live so I have to name them lol. Anyway, I have read about these imposter shrimp so I hope that's not that is not what I have. They are about 1 inch long, clear, but have a little orange band on their antennae. I hope they are not the bad shrimp.

IMHO, I believe it is a ghost. They do often have orange/red bands on their antennae. :)

Cool. Thanks! I thought so too but I wanted another opinion. I am really starting to love them they are hilarious! They hid all the time at first but now they cruise around the tank all day. I love when they swim they look like little alien spaceships lol.

I've had Red Cherries and ghost shrimp both and no matter where I buy them they only last 10 days to 2 weeks. As much as I want them I've given up. I can't justify trying again after spending money on them just to watch them die off one by one. Frustrating to say the least.

Chard, could that be a sign of high nitrates, or do you think the stock are just sickly?

I've put them in established tanks and a couple times in their own fresh tank. The water here in Harrison is about 7.2 ph and the water up in Branson was 7.8 with no readable nitrate or nitrite levels. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I'd love to figure it out so I can have them in my growout tanks.

I have what I believe to be a ghost shrimp in my sons tank, he's having a good time.
I introduced 1 to my bettas tank last night, haven't seen him since, but my betta hasn't gotten fat so I don't think he ate him.
Any ideas on how long he'll hide?
