LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!! I never thought of that!, So this is normal eh??? Well, I intend to add 5 more girls in with Kitty... Do you think thank that her having a territory (I guess that it what it is...) will affect my adding more girls?

What size is your tank? I believe the minimum for a sorority is like, 10 gallons.

29. I'm just afraid that Kitty might guard her territory.

There are some really awesome threads about sororities on this forum. Here's a sticky on sororities.

http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=29402

I just bag all of my girls up in their own zip-loc baggies when I'm introducing someone new. It's just easier for me to float a zip-log baggie half full in my tank than try and find cups and then hope they don't spill over. Anyways, they all have to be floating at the same time for at least fifteen minutes. The longer the better. Acclimate them like you would any other tank. Release the least aggressive girl(s) first, and then the most aggressive girl(s) last.

You really can't pick favorites. You have to love/care for all of your girls equally in a sorority. One girl guarding her territory needs to be as much of a concern as any other girl in your tank.
