I've only ever owned DT or VT as well and used to think any betta without the flow-y fins weren't as beautiful. But this site and all the wonderful keepers on here have really shown me how handsome these boys can be! Have fun with this guy!

I totally know what you're saying. I used to be like that too, and didn't quite understand why plakats were so much more expensive than the longer-finned bettas. And yet here I am spending almost $50 to buy him and to get him shipped to me XD. I thought that longer-finned bettas were great...until my current boyboy became a tail biter...aaaand things aren't that dandy any more.
