plants for a 30 gallon

I will sometime be making a 30 gallon tank I have into a sorority and I am wondering what kind of plants would be good with the bettas and with the height. I have not decided on what kind of a bottom I might have but I am not liking the idea of regular dirt as I have seen in some pictures in terms of keeping it clean.

well with a betta sorority you will want to have it heavily planted, lots of hiding places. a few tall plants like java fern or Green Cabomba, Wisteria, Amazon Sword.

Then you want some plants to cover the bottom and top of the tank. for the bottom, java moss is good, or eel grass, Anubius, Red Ludwigia or Dwarf Sagittaria.
one of my favorites is Nymphaes stellata (red lily) its simply a lilly pad, it covers the bottom, top and mid section of the tank, although it requires very bright light.

I would suggest java ferns (those are pretty much the only plants I know about so I always suggest them) they are rather hardy and don't need much light and reproduce readily.
