I did get a 2.5 gallon tank, 2 of the plants you recommended Bomba and the moss ball. Ralph seems so very happy to have a new home! It came with a filter and I used the same heater I had. Any idea how often and how much of the water I should change with this size tank? Thank you Bomba and all the rest for your advice!

I'm glad you decided to get him a bigger tank he will propably make you a bubble nest mine did when I upgraded him to a 5g from a 1g!!!!

2.5gall you can do 2-50% and 1-100% weekly or i do 100% every 5days. But when you do 100% water changes try to make new water approximately the same temperature as his water. You can have him in his changing cup with about 15% of the water and keep adding small amount of the water about every 5 min to make him get used to the new temperature.
