Neil - Lost My First Fish Tonight

I had to put Neil down today. He had Dropsy.

He was lying on his side at the bottom of the tank struggling to breathe. I could look in his eyes and tell that he was suffering.

I put him in a plastic cup and held it for a while so we could hang out and I could say goodbye, and then I euthanized him. I'm sure I did the right thing but I feel awful.

He wasn't with me long, but I love him with all my heart.

I am so sorry you had to do this...... I don't know what I would do if I had to do that. He is in a much better place now, and you did the right thing

I am very sorry for your loss. I know that had to be a hard decision, but know that you are a great betta parent. SIP Neil.
