Bubble Nest

Is this a bubble nest?

Woke up this afternoon (odd working hours) and noticed my betta (yet to get a proper name) had this



Is this a bubble nest?

Thank you, at least now I know he's happy (even if I did almost kill him)

This is actually his second nest, his first wasn't that impressive and like this one I wasn't sure it was a nest

hahaa yep! good :)
however, my fella hasn't made a bubble nest in a month or two i hope he's ok! he acts perfectly the same he just...stopped...

I had a mishap at the weekend which resulted in mr fishy (that's his name lol) hitting the floor from approx 4.5 feet, so seeing this has lifted my spirits

I don't have betas I used to but i'm wondering, once they produce this bubble nest what is the next stage of breeding for them?

More important first step in the readiness of the female. Males are ready to go quick but a female needs 4-14 days conditioning prep imo. Without her being ready things will seldom go well for the fish or breeder.
