I'm an IBC member and not a breeder. I used to think IBCmembers were snobs because of a bad experience with a few members who are no longer members here who were very snobby and opinionated. Most of the members I've met through FB and different groups are wonderful! You can get great advice from them about anything, not just breeding. You'll get access to info from their library and a subscription to Flare, their monthly magazine.
