Funny fish

Every day one of my bettas does something that just cracks me up. I was feeding King my crowntail but he wouldn't come out of his floating log. Normally he loves feeding time and will scarf up any food in seconds. I look closer at his tank and I see he is working on a bubble nest in his log. He must be guarding it from me, lol. It must be pretty important to give up food. He's not going to be happy with me as it is water change day. I hate to mess up his little nest as it is only the second one he has made.

Whiskey and Patrick constantly have bubblenests in their tank (they share a divided 10 gallon) When I change the water and destroy the nests Patrick ALWAYS gives me this "You're going to be sorry you did that" kind of look and starts building a new next immediately.

My betta build a massive bubble nest once. Half of the water surface was covered. He looked postively livid when I wrecked it. Too bad I turned the filter back on now. xD

I was really worried that my betta romeo wasn't happy, and then like a week ago he started this massive nest that now goes all the way across the back of his tank! I love my little guy!

Fawks would build one and keep it going for DAYS, even through partial water changes. It filled almost 3/4 of his tank... After four or five full water changes I think he gave up and only makes little ones now.
