Something weird's going on...

Hey guys!

So I posted in Betta Emergencies about a week ago about my veil-tailed bi-coloured betta Mako, who had bitten a very large part of his tail off. I have since put him in a medicated bowl because swimming in his 10 gallon tank was difficult for him and he was stressed. However, this is not the issue.

He's been in the bowl for three days. When I took him out of the tank, he had a small bubble nest in a corner of his tank. After the first day he was in the bowl, I looked in the EMPTY tank and thought that the bubble nest actually didn't look so small. The second day, I could have sworn it got bigger again. Today, it has at least quadrupled in size.

Mako is my only fish, and he has not been in his 10 gallon for three days, yet his bubble nest is rapidly growing each day. Has anyone ever encountered this? Do I have a ghost-fish? O_o

Is there a 'film' on top of the water that could be holding bubbles made by your filter?

If you have a filter, that can cause bubbles to attach to the nest. My boy always used to build his nests on the filter downflow, because they did half the work for him.

Or you have a ghost fish, as you suspected.

I would have thought it was the filter too, except that yesterday, I looked really close and saw TWO NEW BUBBLENEST. I know for sure that Mako only had one when I moved him. But later that day, they all popped for some reason O.o

Maybe he is jumping out of his hospital tank at night into the other tank, secretly building bubble nests, then jumping back into the treatment tank.
Hmmm... Well that's all I can come up with. Seriously,I did hear about an octopus that would climb out of his aquarium at night and get into other tanks and cause mischief, then return to his own tank before morning. Lol.

I seen that story in TV. The sharks at some aquarium were disapearing and finally they set up cameras and caught the octopus in the next tank climbing out of his tank at night, going into the shark tank, killing the sharks and returning to his tank. It might of been a squid..one of the two
