Omega one pellets and flakes with blood worms as a treat. It really made a difference in squirts color

Sure! I hope Blue Phoenix (cool name) takes to the new stuff. :) Let me know if he does, and we could work something out. :)

New Life Spectrum is best by far in locally bought pellets.

They have whole fish ingredients for the first 3, and it contains garlic for increasing the immune response. Omega One has wheat gluten which is a cheap filler used to boost the protein, which NLS does not have.

Another thing, you might want to soak your pellets. Sunshine couldn't eat any unless they were soaked because they were too hard.

Actually, soaking makes the nutrients in the food leak out. So basically, you're feeding empty calories. Not good. :I I don't suggest soaking.

I bought attisons off ebay, and my betta seems to love it. It's small enough that he has no problems with it.

i mainly use Hikari bio-gold. they are a lot smaller then most pellets i have used with other brands. all my bettas go nuts for them and it is very heathy diet. all my frozen food is hikari brand aswell because it is the worlds cleanest frozen fish food, free from harmful parasites, unwanted bacteria & foul odor. if i have a lot of juvenile bettas from spawning i will some times get my pellets from kensfish.com you can get half a pound for about 5 dollors, best deal ive found. and the spawns i feed them pellets to are as heathy and happy as the other ones.

Hikari Bio-Gold was THE BEST before... But now, it's the complete WORST.
The first 3 ingredients are cheap fillers, it's expensive, and it's just.. Ugh. I'm sorry, but this is true. I just don't want anyone's bettas getting a horrible effect over some bad diet.

I feed my bettas New Life Spectrum :) They would eat anything, and I'd feel better feeding them something I know is good for them.
