How do you use the Hydor 25 watt theo?

can the plug be submersed? and do you need to just plug it in to turn it on or is there a button somewhere? I just got it off of amazon.

yes the wire can be submersed

you just plug it in, set a temperature, and it'll turn on and off to adjust the water temperature to what you have the heater set to.

I use the 50watt one. They are physically the same dimensions. It is fully submersible - i've noticed on my 5 gallon that the temperature dial means NOTHING except lower is lower and higher is higher ... ignore the numbers and use your thermometer to calibrate the temp.

I agree with tekkguy. I keep mine set on about 85 degrees, and it keeps the tanks at 79-80. I have the 25 watt heaters in 5 gallon tanks. I might switch to 50 watt.
