Thanks, guyzles! :D I'm debating whether I should actually go near the betta farms - if I do, there's a good chance I won't be able to afford a flight back! I will be heading out into the country to see if I can spot any indigenous fish in their local habitat, though, for definite.

Laki: I set up an account that gives me a massive interest bonus if I can square away $200 a month, and only gives me 0.1% if I can't. Big incentive! :p

Maybe I can hire on as a betta-breeding lackey. :p What with my expert knowledge of Thai and habit of getting personally attached to all the fish I'm involved with, I can't think of a better candidate!
