Yeah, so I did some research, and no, you cannot get a plakat from mating two veil tails. I was thinking if maybe one of the grandparents of my special female was a plakat then she could be a plakat he. But this is not possible because the plakat genes are recessive to the veil tail genes, so the only way to get plakat offspring is if one of the parents are plakat. Just thought you guys might wanna know. I guess she is just special, though maybe not too rare, as a lot of you say you have heard or seen females making bubble nests. Bettas are so interesting.
