there were two apple snails in there, but we had to remove them since he kept nipping their antennae. we've been thinking of getting either some cories or tetras to go in there with him, but for now the tank is all his.

he is! he's really non-aggressive though, i've had him since february and still can't get a flare shot of him because he ignores the crap out of his reflection.

This is elvis he lives in his 10 gallon soon to be rainforest with 2 serpae tetras who hid during this pic lol they seem to get along well he will chase them around but never actually bites at them, now and then when he is floating around in the tank posing one of them will sneak attack him and give him a quick nip, all and all they work well together, I am always worried about male bettas who live alone in a tank at least the ones in a divided tank have some source of stimulation the loners just seems so sad to me so I always find them a roomie

Lol Mine will flare his fins, but I love getting pics of my fish when they flare out their face and their little beard pops out, sadly I have never even seen elvis do this one time
