I don't think khuli loaches will eat snails and they also need a sandy bottom so they can burrow.

They get a max of 6 inches, how many bettas do you have? If it is just one male it would be fine with regular water changes like 2 100% a week.

Not for a 10 gallon. Loaches are group orientated fish.
Kuhli loaches supposedly will eat snail eggs, not sure if that's true.

That link is to a yoyo loach.. They are similar, but not the same.

I have a 10G NPT.. Soil/sand sub so Kuhli's are a good match from what I've read and I can have 3 in a 10G with my Betta and RCS. AG's require 3 min to be happy, and min tank size suggested is 20-30 G depending on the source.

I know it's a yoyo. It's a recommendation. They are snail eaters

I think 3 would be safer for the fish. Yes it is minimum but to much higher would cause over stocking.

AG's are snail eaters. I don't think I'd have an issue with overstocking with 5 KL's, 1 Betta, and a handful (If they're still in there, I haven't seen them since I got them!) RCS. I know there are pest snails in there too. I see them here an there but they don't really count! KL's are known to have light BL so I'd be ok with 5. I don't think hubby would appreciate the rather expensive bill if I got 5 at once thou! I'd have to start with 3 and work up.
