New friends

I was headed to petco to grab 2 cory cats, but I brought my best friend with me. After having my water tested there I decided to pick 2 up. Suddenly my friend shows interest in the bamboo (flower) shrimp searching the bottom for food. So...I fell to peer pressure and instead of 2 Corys I have 1 flower shrimp.

His behavior with curious mr betta is interesting. I was afraid Fishy would try to take an exploratory bite. Poor shrimp! But instead he just seems to watch carefully. This went on until eventually mr shrimp stole Fishy's favorite spot behind the heater. Grr I bought malasian driftwood for you mr shrimp.

Anyways the way thing have been working is they have pretty much been leaving each other alone, however thy are both skittish and if they run into each other they speed around the tank, I feel bad to say that I fin it a bit entertaining.

Mr shrimp turned a pretty red/orange color and his stripe is brilliant, fishy lost his marbling and is now blue and green with his frowny face. Tannins helped everyone!

Mr. Shrimp :D he sounds like a handful, but a lot of fun too.

He molted on day 1 lol. He's a bit scary because he is about 3 inches long and they have a reputation for suicidal escapes. They seem to get along just fine. Interestingly enough I've seen a new change in fishy. He's starting to marble black instead of white.
Ammonia still at 0.

I also learned that I'm like many other people here. I love tannins.
