thankyou Haeclark,

i was actually reading some of your postings before i joined the forum--glad your bettas are doing so well!; got some bloodworms yesterday and Spiderman seems to LOVE them!!! so i think i will try your method and see how it goes...also though i was wondering...i have another posting on the Meet the Community and someone there suggested that i do a complete water change vs the 30% change that Onefisht2fish was suggesting. i was kinda aggreeing with the full water change as to get things finally started off right...what do you think??? i only have a 2 gallon tank...

No problem! Glad to hear my input was helpful :D

none of Blue's tanks have ever been cycled. When I first got him, I didnt know about tank cycling, and when I moved him into his 10gal, I just used the same gravel that was already in the tank he was using [that was about a month after his 2.5 gal setup].
I have heard from others that for such a small tank, you should be fine...especially if you plan on doing 100%, then increments on other changes.
I was thinking about it...wouldn't be much different really from getting him from the pet store, etc, and moving him from that little cup into his new home.
