Question Will there top fins grow back?

My Bf cleaned the tank the other day and thought it would be a good idea to just try and catch him so he did not put any of the dirty water back in the tank. He accidently grabbed some of his top fin and it came right off. Does it hurt him will he be ok? Hes swimming around just fine and eating, I just want to make sure hel be ok.

I think he'll be fine and the fin should grow back. Keep the water very clean so he doesn't get an infection.

If water conditions are good and there is proper nutrition, it should grow back. Feeding foods high in Vitamin B helps speed up the process.

While Melafix seems good for body wounds, I'm not sure if it's right for fins.

The Melafix bottle says it repairs damaged fins, heals open wounds and ulcers, stops mouth fungus and treats fin and tail rot.
