Cloudy Water need help

Over the past 3 weeks we have added four pygmy cores and all seems to be going well. Lots of swimming around and Gilly (the beta) swims all over all day. Seems happy enough eating good. Every time I test the water it all tests fine but the water always seems a bit cloudy and I have this fuzzy stuff floating around or sitting on the bottom. I have been doing frequent water changes to try and get rid of it but it doesnt seem to be helping. Frequent like once a day sometimes twice depending on how much time I have. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

It is a 10 gallon tank and I have a sponge filter rated for 30 gallons. I dont have the flow completely full because at full he water is to rough. I can try and get pictures but the tank is in the kids room and they are sleeping. So that will have to wait.

Is the cloudiness whiteish or greenish? Whiteish indicates that something is happening with the cycle, greenish that you have a bacterial bloom.

It is white so what could be happening with the cycle? Should I keep doing lots of water changes or let it be for a few days?
