meet Fawkes :)

Fawkes is my first betta since last summer. I lost my bettas in a move and just didn't have the time or want to get another... i recently started a fancy goldfish tank and while at the store getting supplies i stopped to look at the bettas.. a lot of them were sickly looking but there was a little blue vtail in the back with a bubble nest that covered his jar and was flaring at a crown tail nest to him with SBD, i couldn't leave without him :P. So i brought the boy home filled up my old 3.5g. everything still worked great and within the first hour of being in his tank he was eating pellets from me. that was yesterday and today when i came home from work i noticed the temp in his tank was a couple degrees too high. i opened the lid to turn down the heater and low and behold i find a nest the size of a golf ball.. i was so excited crooning to him and telling him he was a good boy and he flared at me in response lol. I haven't had a nest builder in probably two years so i'm so excited... cant wait to see what he has in store for me :)

No the store doesn't sell females in cups by the males they have them in their community tanks. And he is the only betta I have at home

Spawning a veiltail would leave you with dozens of fish without homes. You would need to sell them to pet stores where they will likely die or go to cruddy homes and then die in little bowls
