Rascal (My Betta) has been having like spasm attacks like he has been having seizures all day today. he hasn't been eating as much as he normally does either. Rascal loves to eat but he didn't seem to care to much when it was breakfast time this morning. Is this normal and I'm just being a over reacted betta dad or is there some wrong with my Rascal? Please Help!
any changes been going on?
Recent water changes?
different type of food?
Any visable signs on his body?
anything else that maybe be traumatic in the eyes of a fish?
Water temp fluctuated at all? *it seems changes in the Temp causes weird reactions many times*

Well I Got a new filter but it was to powerful so I made a buffer for it but when I was trying to slide up the hood it fell in the way none of the electrical parts when in thank God but I think a little part of the light went in for a very short time. I haven't done any water changes yet but he just moved into his new 10gallon tank a week ago. He’s been eating the same kind of food since I got him and loves it until now. his body looks ok though he has lost some color its not a bright as it used to be. the temp has been steady at around 78 degrees. So I Don't Know.
If the tank is just a week old and has a new filter then its probably not cycled and, like Blaxicanlatino said, he could be reacting to the high ammonia and nitrite.Get an API master test kit and check the water parameters.
Well he seems to be doing better now. He is eating more which is good. The tank has been set up for actually going on 3 weeks now and has had 2 water testing’s from petco and petsmart and they said the water like you guys said is still cycling. I just recently got a Marineland Penguin BIO-Wheel filter which cycles the tank 10x/hr which means the water has been cycled 1'200 times so far. But he is looking better after a day and is eating much better now so i think i was just overreacting. I have lost so much in a short time i just really don't want to lose him either. So that’s probably why i was acting like he was deathly sick or something.
