Bettas should be heated to 78-80 F try raising the tank temp. Also in a 2.5g water changes should be done more often, nitrates and ammonia build up at the bottom of the tank and this can be harmful to ur little guy.
I'm not an expert on feeding but in my opinion feeding him just bloodworms isn't good, or maybe he's gotten tired of them.. I'm not sure. Try picking up some pellets (new life spectrum or omega one r the best)
Other then his head being darker r there any other changes in his appearance?
His hiding may be caused from stress, does he have enough decorations to hide in? And does he have a few that reach the surface?

I would stop treatment tho until u find out what is really wrong with him. Just put him in warm clean water, maybe keep the light off on his tank to reduce stress :)

He has a house with holes, 5 plants, and he likes to hide under the heater. Mr. Finny's appearance hasn't changed changed, but just his attitude? Or maybe he is lonely?

you can make him a betta bed that will help make him feel more secure, or you can purchase one.
To make one you simply need craft mesh fishing line and a suction cup. just bend it into a tear drop shape after u ensure there are no little plastic sharp pieces sticking out... tie the mesh with the fishing line and either sew it (with fishing line) or if u can tie it to the suction cup that will work... attach it so the top of the tear drop is out of the water... it gives him a place to rest and hide, maybe for now keep his lights off and interact with him during the day for short periods of time.
The higher water temp and the high protein pellets will help as well :)
give him clean water and let him relax for a day or two... if anything changes please let me know
