Betta has huge lump on his side.

Housing
What size is your tank? 10g
What temperature is your tank? 77 degrees
Does your tank have a filter? Yes
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No
Is your tank heated? Yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? Another betta

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Hikari Bio Gold
How often do you feed your betta fish? 2-3 pellets 2x day

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? He has a big lump on the side. It appeared over 2-3 days, but he has been floating like this for a while. The lump is still covered by the scales, they seem to stretch out over it.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? Hasn't changed.
When did you start noticing the symptoms? 2-3 days
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? Epsom salt bath for 30 mimnutes.
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Yes. He has been floating along the top of the tank for 2-3 months.
How old is your fish (approximately)?8-9 months

I have been looking for hours for some conclusive diagnosis on this lump that appeared on the fish 2-3 days ago. Everything says it's either constipation, parasite, or tumor. You can tell if you've seen my past posts that this has been a fairly gradual progression.

Right now he is living in a cup again so I can watch him closer. He has not pooped the in 10ish hours that he has been in there, but he ate the pellets I gave him this morning.

Some of the pictures are funky colorwise b/c I wanted to show the lump better..

I suggest sending a message to someone like Sakura8, Olympia or Callistra. (Callistra hasn't been online in a few days though.)

It looks like his swim bladder is enlarged. I would put him in Epsom salt, at a dosage of 3 teaspoons per gallon. (Not a bath. You can leave him in the Epsom salt solution for 10-14 days, or even longer. Unlike Aquarium salt, Epsom salt does not contain sodium, so it's not stressful on the kidneys.)

I would suggest putting him in a shallower container, but since he's floating, I guess it doesn't matter where you treat him. You could treat the whole 10 gal tank, or put him in a hospital tank.
