Sunburst the HalfSun? Halfmoon? DeltaTail?

Yesterday at PetCo, I saw many beautiful Bettas, and me and my mom chose this guy.

I was wondering what tail type he is and color. I've researched a little and Sunburst seems to have little ridges like crowntails and that matched the description of the HalfSun. What do you guys think?? On the cup at the store it said he was classified as a DoubleTail.

Do you have a picture? I got a DT from my local Petco last week that was determined to be a Halfsun. I've found out that he would still be called a HMDT though. Coloration is another story & I can't really help there, but have you looked at this thread http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=29868 ?

Here's a picture of Ra, my suntail DT

You guys did pick a very handsome boy. Sometime their color will darken up a bit after you bring them home and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up looking a bit more like Ra. I can't really tell with the tail but his anal & dorsal fins look very similar. I'm inexperienced at figuring out tail types and color, but I would agree that he is a suntail as well. Hopefully some more knowledgeable people will see your thread and answer soon.

I guess I'm lucky. The PetCo store had no classification of 'SunTail' but they put it as a Double Tail for $6.99

DTPK. Double tail plakat. He does look like he has a bit of the halfsun though.Halfsun doesn't have to be DT. It is any fish that has a 180* caudal spread with slight webbing reduction. Over 180* would be an Over half sun
