Looking for Plant-Friendly LEDs

Hello everyone,

My tank is: 8"W x 16"L x 10"H and I am looking for some LED lights that will allow growth of plants. Right now it's got a hood and plant-friendly CFL in it, but I really hate the way it looks. It makes my plants look like somebody jacked up the saturation in the tank, so all the colours are strange looking.

Can anybody help me out? When I go to stores to look at their LED lights, they're all 24"+ which is far too big for my 16" tank :(

I am assuming you want an actually product? Not just talking about the colors that are good for plants?

Deep Blue Solar Flare clamp on light. I love mine. Probably a bit short for your tank, but I bet you can work plantings out so shade lovers are on the sides.

Try out the beamswork 15" clamp light. What kind of plants are you trying to grow?

I had to go look at the box to get the description right. Deep Blue Solar Flare clamp on LED 115.

Like so:

It's great. Mine was slightly less spendy from my LFS. Great plant growth. I have a shallow tank, and I had too much light at first, and had some algae issues. Now, I leave the glass top on, and adjusted the goose neck higher, and everything is flourishing.

finnex's monster ray brings out some great colors! I'm not sure what size they make them though. :)

@Gorilla: Right now all I have is anubias nana and some Java fern, however I want to have a future-proofed light to grow more complex plants in a year or two.

@VJM: Thanks! I'll see if I can find it at my LFS/LPS, I doubt it though because their selection is kind of lame

@Aokashi: I just checked their website, 24"+ XD oh well, my search continues!
