Unhappy DTHM Fin tear concerns

Hello everyone, I made a post a little while ago about my two new boys.

The DTHM, though somewhat energetic (He tends to stick at the bottom close to the filter intake) has a split dorsel fin in two places, I bought him this way and when I gave him more hiding spots I took out other plants that could potentially tear his fins even further.

One of this two tails is a little tattered, how should I go about treating it?

Currently there is already some Aq. Salt in the tank but I have not added any bettafix or other medicine since his arrival as the usual precaution.

Here are some pictures:

Don't use Aquarium salt over long periods of time as it hurts their liver and is dangerous (for long periods) The best thing to do for him is to keep his water really clean and warm. Also find some Stress Coat to help him with the healing, it contains Aloe which helps heal, you can use that at double dose for him. Don't add any other conditioners with it thought since it is a conditioner in and of itself.

Aquarium salt is for things like internal parasites and body slime infections. In periods of a week it will be fine but continuously adding it to a Betta's tank is not good for their health. However I'm not certain about other fish and how they handle it.

He should be fine and you should start to see new growth if you follow my directions :) Good luck to you and the little guy, he's adorable by the way.
