Exclamation one sick fish

Hello i have a beautiful male Betta named Leonidas for his beutiful dark purple blue with hints of spartan red. I love him VERY MUCH and wonder what is wrong wish i could help him hope for some advice

Housing

What size is your tank? 5 gallon tank
What temperature is your tank? ihave no idea
Does your tank have a filter? yes
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? filter
Is your tank heated? no
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? None.

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? the pelets
How often do you feed your betta fish? once a day 4 pelets

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change?
50% once a week

What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 50%

What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? stress coat

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
pH: 7
Hardness: the water is soft
Alkalinity: 0

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
his fins look a little fryed on the ends but hes got this peach spot onhis back hes discolored :(
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? hes not puffing out his fins or swiming so much i lowered the water level to make things easyer for him
When did you start noticing the symptoms? today
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? i went to three pet stores for advice and i ended up with betta fix and aquarium salt
Does your fish have any history of being ill? no hes a tought cookie
How old is your fish (approximately)? 9 months

Exclamation systoms

So my fish is not very active and hes not flaring up as u can see from the picture there discoloration and possibly fin rot going on

You might want to post in the Emergency and Disease forum. You'd probably get more replies in there. The best guess I would have is a slime coat infection, but that's a guess on my part based on comparing images I found online with your fish.

Yes post in the emergancies... dont use betafix return it please... the "fix"es are thought to contain things that can make it hard for your fish to breathe.
For now move him into a hospital tank if you have one with something for him to rest on leaves, or a betta bed.
If you can try to get a nice clear picture of him, that would be very helpful for us to figure out what the little guy has.
Give him all new clean warm water

He definitely needs an adjustable heater and a thermometer (suction cup kind, not stick on).

Test the heater outside of the tank first, to make sure it will hold a temperature correctly. Then, you can put it in the tank, and increase the heat by no more than one degree per hour. About 5 degrees per day is the maximum increase.

If he isn't feeling well, I would go twice as slowly and monitor closely.
