Cloudy water in tank~

Hello, friends!

I've got a 5.5 gallon tank I set up last night (filter, heater, water conditioner) and I woke this morning to noticed the water has gone somewhat cloudy. I rinsed everything with tap water before placing it in the tank, no soap either. Also, no fish has been in the tank.

I do have live plants in there though. Is it natural for plants to slightly cloud the water? Is this just part of the cycling process?

I noticed my filter started giving off bubbles too; after I put a check valve on it. Would this have something to do with it? Any replies are appreciated!!

All newly set up tanks are cloudy for a few days, it will go away with time.

Cloudy water is normal in newly set up tanks, it could clear up in a few day or a few weeks,
Not much you can do besides wait it out..

Thanks for the replies. Nice to know it is normal to happen. Is it safe for a betta to be in this cloudy water?
