How many plants?

Okay, so I finally came into the money to actually get the plants going for my tank. I know the sticky for NPT sa you need the right amount of plants but I'm wondering what is the "Right amount" of plants? How many of each do I need? EDIT: I have a 10 gallon I'm going to split.

Also what is a pretty good set of start up plants that are pretty easy to find?

:D Thank you guys bunches. I plan on buying the plants tomorrow just looking for some advice. I can't wait to share some photos.

Hornwort, watersprite, your sword families. Banana lilly inc.

And what they mean by that is, what are you using to grow them in? If its just sand or gravel. You can have as many as you like. But if you went with dirt or something of that nature, you need enough plants to use the nutrients so your not poisoning the fish.
