Is it ok?

Hi everyone, I was just at the pet store today and was making a final decision on getting a 10 gallon tank, and I'm going to get it tomorrow. But here's the problem, I saw a yellow/white betta and absolutely fell in love with it! Switch him with one of the bettas in the back... Is it OK to get a small temporary betta tank for a week while the water has to circulate? I have to get him tomorrow, nobody can take that beautiful fish!

Yes, he can be in a temporary tank until a more permanent one is ready for him.

For temp tanks that you just get caught with nothing else,
I use the largest plastic food containers you can get at the dollar store.
Punch some holes in the top for air,and keep the lid on so your betta can't jump out...
They work great. The biggest ones I found was just over a gallon in size...
I have used these on many occasion for several weeks with no problems until I could get a more permanent home...
I have two right now being housed in them until I can find more of the tanks I want

That's very good advise. I should keep that in mind. :)

Yeah, it would be fine to keep him in a temporary tank. A lot of people keep forever them in tanks that should only be temporary, so I'm pretty sure he'll be okay! :P
Chiklets advice is very good. Why spend a lot of money on a temporary tank when you can get a cheaper one that will work just as well? Yay for dollar stores!

I know that feeling about needing a certain betta. That's what happened when I saw Chomper. He was the most gorgeous fish EVER!

Good luck with your betta. You seem to be intent on giving him the best of care.
