Betta Tank Temp

Im going to be getting a betta this week. and I have a tank setup for him. the temp is at about 74 degrees . whats the ideal temp for them?

I think it's 72-81 degrees Fahrenheit, ideally. My 2.5 gal. tank is at 78 degrees F. right now.

The temp reached 80 today for my betta is that too high? its usually at 78 .
