Betta fish tank mate.

I'm considering a 2.5 gallon betta aquarium. It would just be the single fish and a dwarf frog.
... if possible. Does any one know if they'll get along?
If they don't, I probably just won't get the aquarium.



I've had my 20 gallon for several months now so I'm familiar with the nitrogen cycle. My filter doesn't have media that I could use to donate to keep the 2.5 going, but I could lend a couple slate rocks. I've always been under the impression that bettas are really tough when it comes to water conditions. Is that true? Will it be okay through the cycling process or are they more delicate than I thought? (Yes I know how to do water changes.)
