Yard Sale AWESOMENESS!!

Found this glass orb thingy (intended for candles) at a yard sale for ten cents and knew right away what I wanted it for. I have a tall five gallon hex that has been lacking decor wise in the upper region ever since I got it (from craigslist). Ignore the lame mismatched decor at the bottom and look at the orb in the middle. I want to put a carpet plant in there at some point but for now there is just gravel to keep it from floating and a large marble. Don't worry, I am watching him closely to make sure the fishing line it hangs from won't be a problem. I tried to get a pic of him in it, but he will only play in there when I am not looking!! :p

Beautiful! Unique too!

If you can get your hands on java moss, or another type of clingy moss, you can wrap the wire and he won't get hurt for sure.

That's really cool! I got one of those on sale at Target as a small succulent planter, but never thought that they could be used in a tank.

Yard sales and thrift shops (and lots of other places that to wouldn't think of) are great for fish stuff! Good find!

What a fantastic find and idea! I love it. I think it will look really nice with a live plant inside as well. :)

You could also get a clear double suction cup.

A great idea; some people are so creative.
