If It's Not One Thing It's Another...

I got a betta from the LFS and it happened to have SBD. Healed that, and he was in a one gal heated, planted jar, mean as can be Yesterday I moved him to my planted shrimp tank. (After taking all the plants out then catching 30 ish juvie RCS..) Afer about almost a whole day of showing stress stripes, flaring at his reflection, etc etc. I went down stairs to turn the lights off. I noticed he had some scales missing on each side of him, then some by his lips. What should I do to help him heal?

Maybe take him out and move him to the one gal heated and planted. The shrimp may be stressing him out.

I used BettaFix, in very small doses, but some people don't like it since it may hurt a fish in large doses, but BettaFix has worked wonders for me!

Also, the shrimp may have attacked your betta (what type of shrimp?) and that may be why your betta is losing scales/piece of his fins (?)
My ghost shrimp attacked my betta and tore out large chunks of his fins. To this day, I'll never get another shrimp.

Could it be damage from a filter inlet?
