Exclamation White dots all over tanks is ick or what is it? (pictures included)

I came this evening to find the following- Please, please identify and advise what the best thing to do:

On the feathery plant

On the filters and java moss and in more than one tank!

It's in the tank but not on the fish as far I can see.

Hi Jada. I can't see the pics. But from your description, it sounds like you may have planaria. These are harmless little nematodes that often live in the gravel. Usually we never see them but sometimes they'll have an abundance of food and a population boom. You can just suck them out with a siphon hose.

Thanks for the answer. Kind of grossed out. I read they exist in our water supply. There were pictures when I left last night I don't what happened they are in my album. I have been feeding my fish a little more generously for the past 2 weeks. I was feeding only 5 pellets a day. After reading what other people feed I decided perhaps that was not enough. I really feel like I just want to tear my tanks down and boil the gravel and start clean, clean. However, I know I shouldn't do that. Apparently, they are not bothered by salt though as I got worried and added salt to some of the tanks. Not a dent in their existence. I will be busy cleaning gravel tonight.

Okay, now the pic showed up. Yeah, probably planaria. Especially if you've seen them move. Otherwise, you might ask Laki. She has had every kind of creepy unwanted critter in her tanks that you can think of.

Hmm. It's also possible that if you stirred up something in the gravel previously that it's just some kind of bacteria. Either way, I'm pretty sure it's harmless.
