Bubble nest problems. Help!!

My fish was making large bubble nests until i but a lid on. It is cardboard and i left a space for the air to ventelate. I took the lid off . I still hav'nt seen the results because I did it 10 mitutes ago. Is this normal. What should I do. Help!!!!!!

How long was the lid on? Sometimes they lose interest in bubble nests for awhile. I haven't ever had a problem with that particular situation though. Is the betta in your avatar yours?

Put the lid back on, Betta's jump!
Its just new to him, Give him time to get use to it,
Once he's adapted to it he'll make nests again
