Hes really freakin... hes extra jumpy. I startled him and he scared to begeebers outta me...his one gill was sticking out... you know like when they breathe and they go out, it was just one side... is that bad? its normal now.
can i add stresscoat to help him calm down?

Try keeping the light off, or putting a towel around the tank. They usually calm down in darkened locations.

i will turn the bedroom light off, i dont have his tank light on since he has been so very jumpy lately. But the light has been on for hours and it wont hurt him to turn it off early for the night

Red has passed away :(
He was doing really well he was more active and seemed a lot happier
Out of nowhere he just died... Im not sure if this has anything to do with the greying of his head and belly. I almost think this may be a sign of aging, since I took him in (unwanted pet) Im not sure how old he was.
Me and my nephew (who grew very attached to Red) held a small funeral service for him yesterday. It is just very sad and unexpected. Just thought you should know... Thank you for all your help
