What are these things?

I have no idea what to put this under, but anyway.
Paladin's tank has the small things all over the stones and heater.
I donno what they are but i found a pic online http://www.google.com.mt/imgres?um=1...6&tx=224&ty=32

I cleaned his tank to days ago and took out the live plants but they still came back. Any idea how to get rid of them?

Looks like some sort of algae. Reduce the amount of light your tank is getting and put the live plants back in -- they use the same nutrients that algae does and will help soak up that "food" instead of the algae. Don't dose any fertilizer for now except Excell (CO2 supplement) if you have it. You can clean the algae but your best bet is to kill it by starving it.

The tank doesnt get a lot of sunlight but maybe it is. I'm setting up a ten gallon for him so that he will have more space, but i'm not sure if i want to put the same plants in there. Do you think they would spread? And i dont use any fertilizers.

if you do not have anacharis, you can try having some SeaChem Excel in there with lights off for 2 or 3 days and see if it goes away.

Now if you have shrimps and snails or any other kinds of fish that breathes the oxygen in the water, you may not want to use Excel.

Or you can get an amano in there to help clean up.
