Given the fact that the majority of people keep these fish(Bettas) in small enviornments of less than five gal. (poor fishies) I would think a water change would take no longer than texting a message.
Water changes using a dechlorinator often times are more beneficial to the fish than any of the slew of recommendations for medications.
Many problems with these fish could be avoided completely if folks would just come to grips with the fact that fish need filtered,heated tanks, with a healthy biological filter. Until they do,,, They will always be dealing with problems attempting to keep these fish. Hell,,, any fish, healthy in the long term.
