Well, I just recently (like two days ago) moved him into his 5g tank. He'd been kept in a 1/2g tank for 3 months from when I got him, with around 90% water changes once a week. But the tank I have now, the temperature sits between 79 and 82. The heater defaults to 78, but with the heat from the light it heats the water more. It doesn't go over 82 though, and he's ALOT more active than he used to be. he's even getting some purple in his fins <3
So yah, maybe I should just keep the heater plugged in during the night, but turn it off during th day and use the lamp as the water heat source? That worked with the smaller tank, but I dunno about this one, just because it's 10x bigger >>
@Ion: Someday I'd like one of thems. The pet stores in town get them every now and then, usually only get the veil tails though. I'd order one off the internet, but I'd feel so bad for it getting sent in the mail SO far to come live with me X.x
