My First Rescue!

I'm such a sucker...

I went into Petsmart today to look at the tank decor, and couldn't help but take a look at the fish. Most of the bettas looked great, and they had such a variety of gorgeous colors, including from cellophanes and opaques to royal blues and blacks!

But my eye was caught by this little one, on the corner of the shelf...
Skinny as can be, missing half a ventral fin, with rot on all the fins, and some inflammation on the gills.

But he's got spunk!
He made it through the car ride home, and he's acclimating into the hospital tank, treated with Prime, Stress Coat+, and AQ salt. The tank is a 0.5g floating in Sir Reginald's 5.5g at 80F.

No name for the little man yet, he's supposedly a CT (not that anyone can tell...), any suggestions?

I hope so! And I hope it doesn't stress the boys out too much to have to share a heater...

Edit to say: It's not that I hope that he turns out beautiful, I don't care what he ends up looking like! I just want him to be healthy!

He's doing really well this morning!

I've got a journal started for him here.
