Question tank cleaning

my tank is a 2 gal how often should i clean it?
in do i need a filter?and which i think is messing up every bubble nest atempt (not breeding)......

I would do a full change once a week or a partial change twice a week and a full change once a month. No, you don't need a filter.

In my 2.5g bowl I don't have a filter. I change it prly 75% twice a week, and altho thats prly overdoing it its better than underdoing it, and my betta always seems so happy after a nice change of water!

If you're going to do just partial changes, a turkey baster works good to get the poop and stuff off the bottom.

I take out all the decor and gravel and stuff to clean, just leave in about 25% of the water because its better for bettas slimecoats I think
