My Betta wags body like...

a dog waggs his tail.. is that normal? I think it's soo cute, he gets so excited to see me. Is that normal? I never new bettas could be so social. Please enlighten me. I actually got this for my 6.5 yo and I'm falling love with him.

LOL Yes, it's normal. They do have great personalities and are fun to interact with.They'll sit there and look at you like they understand everything you say to them. You might have to get another one,so you'll have one for you and one for your 6 year old. lol I'm glad to hear how much you are enjoying your betta. Oh, and welcome to FishForum!

lol. I've had my betta for almost 2 weeks now and he's like that. Whenever I go up to the tank to look at him, wherever he is he swims up to where I am and stops and stares at me. And he'll just sit there looking at me. When I talk to him he does the body wag thing and swims around. It's quite cute. I've fallen in love with my betta. It's great. I was actually thinking about getting a crowntail soon, but I think I might wait until I get a job and can fully take care of two bettas. So I made up my mind that when I get my 10 gal, I'm just going to get some cory cats to keep him company. Maybe I'll eventually introduce a female. Have fun with your betta. I know I do. =D
