New Fry to The Tank

Hey guys, this is our first post here on Bettafish Forums.. Figured we would introduce ourselves and our bettas!

This is Kane, doing what he loves.. Eating! He is our oldest betta.

This is Lewis


This guy is Dameon, we rescued him bruised and battered from a local Meijer store. The guy practically laughed at us when we bought him and joked "He probably won't last a week"... It's been a month and he is recovering well! He was in a fight with a bunch of other fish, and his poor fins were bearly hanging on. If you guys have any suggestions on keeping his fins healthy, they are appreciated!
This is about 3 days after we got him..


This is him today, he changes color alot.. right now he is kinda pale, he becomes brighter during the day!

Aww they're so pretty. I'm glad you rescued the poor fish and that he's doing well. The normal aquarium salt, conditioning and cleaning helps. Just keep up with him and he should do fine.

For fin rot put the poor guy in a tank with nothing else in it(no decorations or plants) and put a teaspoon full of aquarium salt per galon. I would change the water every other day(use conditionaer) and keep using the salt. It will really liven him up and this is your best route to cure fin rot

It was kinda like a metaphor.. New fry in the tank.. Fry = us, tank = forum! Ha..
